*Important* Printing Instructions - Please Read!
These
instructions are for the Hewlett Packard & the Lexmark Z12 printers.
The Canon models print differently, instructions differ only slightly.
Be sure to uncheck "print background" & "print date & url"
from printer options.
For computer users:
To
remove the date & page url from your printer options - open up your
Internet Explorer Browser (click on the little blue "e" on the bottom
left of your screen). Now click on "File" on the upper left side of the
toolbar. Now choose "Page Set up". If there are any letters or symbols
in the "Header" or "Footer" text boxes - delete them & leave them
blank. Now set your margins for: Top: - 0.25 Left - 0.25 Right - 0.25
& Bottom - 0.46
Here are the codes to put the url, date, time, & page numbers back in your page set-up.
Open your Internet Explorer browser & click "File", then click "page set up".
Put the following codes in for whatever you want in the headers & footers.
Make sure the spaces are in there as I have them.
&b&b &u - this puts the Url of the page in the upper right hand corner;
if you want it on the left, then leave out the &b&b
&b&b &d &t page&p of &P - this puts the date, time, & page
with the total
number of pages on the lower right hand corner.
Again, if you want it on the left, leave out the &b&b.
To leave out the time, leave out &t,
to eliminate the page numbers leave out page&p,
if you don't want the total number of pages, leave out &P
You can reverse the headers & footers if you want the date , time & page numbers on the top,
then put them in the headers text box.
To put the url on the bottom,
put the text in the footers text box.
Use heavier paper. I use 110 Lb. (index
weight) paper. I recently tried Wausau Exact Vellum Bristol paper for some cards & the results were really pleasing! It's 67 Lb. wt. I'll be using that from now on.
Print out face of the card you want. Let it dry
well so it doesn't smear.
Put the paper back in the printer feed tray with the image you just printed facing up & toward the front of the printer (blank half, toward the back of the printer).
Pick the inside text you want & print - the image will be on the card face with the text on
inside of the card.
To print a sig on the back of your card put the card back in the paper tray with the card face down & facing down:

Let it dry, then fold.
Envelopes can be purchased at any large office supply store.
*Printing Instructions for Canon Printers*
Follow the
above steps with the exception that your image is face down as opposed
to face up with the HP Printer.
